Immer wieder kam aus dem Wald der schreckliche Troll, plünderte die Felder und Ställe, zerstörte Häuser und stieß dabei wilde schreckliche Laute aus. Stellte sich ihm jemand mit dem Mut der Verzweiflung in den Weg, so erschlug er ihn..."
